- •CEO of carbine is known as a fugitive from justice in Indian court
- Union Carbide left tons of chemical wastes behind.
- •Leaving poisoned groundwater that the Bhopal residents had to live with.
- •A tank of methyl isocyanate (highly reactive) leaked.
- •Water entered the tank and an exothermic chemical reaction started so heat was produced
- •In result the tank burst and 20 to 30 tons of methyl isocyanate leaked in an hour before being noticed.
